This blog is for those interested in reading about the fascinating world of Dutch politics, but not blessed with the knowledge of the equally fascinating world of the Dutch language. I lived in the Netherlands from my mid-teens to early twenties (1997-2005) before returning to Australia. These years happened to be some of the most eventful in the country’s political history, and they formed a backdrop for the development of my own political opinions and interests, which were rather hazy and uninformed when I arrived in Europe.
My comments policy on this blog is quite simple: no hateful, aggressive, discriminatory language – or anything else that I find to be offensive. If you think you can claim freedom of speech here, think again.
Before I forget, a disclaimer: I am a member of the GroenLinks, the major Dutch Green party, as well as a member of the Australian Greens – Victoria. All opinions on this blog are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of either party.
